Add Flat Rate Shipping to a Category

Overview

This article walks through setting a flat rate on a category. Flat rate shipping is configured per category, not store wide. For how flat rates work and combine with other shipping, see [Flat Rate Shipping].

Steps

   In the Foxy admin, open the Categories section.

   Select the category you want to configure (or create a new one).

   In Category details, scroll to Delivery Options.

   Set Delivery type to Shipped using a flat rate.

   Enter the Shipping rate amount.

   Set Flat rate applies to either:

   • Per order — the rate is charged once for the category, regardless of quantity.

   • Per item — the rate is multiplied by the quantity of items from this category.

   (Optional) Enter a Customs value for international shipments. If left blank, the item's sale price is used.

   Save the category (the checkmark button at the top).

Test it

Add a product from this category to your cart and proceed to checkout. The flat rate should be included in the shipping total (combined with any other shipping costs in the cart).
