Vantiv connects Foxy to the US card-processing platform originally launched under the Vantiv name. Vantiv itself no longer exists as a brand — it was acquired by Worldpay in 2017, Worldpay was acquired by FIS in 2019 (trading as "Worldpay from FIS"), and Worldpay was sold again to Global Payments in 2025. The underlying platform Foxy connects to is marketed today as Worldpay eCommerce (still referenced in Worldpay/Worldpay-partner documentation as "formerly Vantiv / Litle"). If your Foxy admin panel says "Vantiv," that is Foxy's label for this integration, not a currently active public brand name. The gateway serves US merchants.
This is a low-connection, real-volume gateway: as of February 2026 it had 14 active connections but 40,277 transactions (1.97% of Foxy's processed volume) — a small number of merchants, each doing meaningful business on it. Treat this article as written for merchants who already have, or are actively setting up, a Worldpay eCommerce (Vantiv) merchant account, rather than as a self-serve quick-start.
Setting up Vantiv
Onboarding is not a self-serve API-key flow. You need an existing Worldpay eCommerce (Vantiv) merchant account, and Foxy has to be explicitly enabled on it before credentials will work.
The panel is split into a Live setup block and a Test setup block carrying the same field list, plus a matching Test Report Group field (defaulting to default). Fill in the credentials above under Live setup.
Testing
Foxy provides shared test credentials for Vantiv, so you can run test transactions without setting up your own sandbox account. Leave the Test setup fields as they are.
Those shared credentials are for testing the integration only. If you need to test against your own account configuration — your own report groups, your own account setup — get a sandbox account from Worldpay and fill in the Test setup fields with its values.
Obtaining a test account
The Foxy wiki's contact number for Vantiv test-account requests is old enough that we can't confirm it still reaches the right team. Ask your Worldpay eCommerce account manager or CEM for sandbox access instead.
Test card numbers
Vantiv's sandbox recognizes the last three digits of the card number to trigger specific responses:
4111111110000000 — Last 3 digits: 000 — Response: Approved
4100000000000100 — Last 3 digits: 100 — Response: Processing network unavailable
4111111000000110 — Last 3 digits: 110 — Response: Insufficient funds
4111111111111111 — Last 3 digits: 111 — Response: Authorization amount already depleted
Advanced features
Authorize only. Vantiv supports authorization-only transactions, so you can authorize at checkout and capture later.
Multiple currencies. The gateway supports multi-currency processing.
Report groups. Use the Report Group fields to split reporting by category on the Worldpay side; this is a Worldpay reporting feature, not a Foxy one.
Not supported: 3D Secure and card verification are not available through this integration (the underlying pack records supports_3d_secure: false and supports_card_verification: false for this gateway type).
Important notes and caveats
The Vantiv brand is retired; the platform is not. Expect any current documentation, support line, or portal you find to say "Worldpay" or "Worldpay eCommerce," not "Vantiv." That's not a sign the integration is broken — it's the same product under new ownership and a new name.
US only. The wiki lists only the United States as a supported country for this gateway.
Onboarding runs through your account manager, not a signup form. Getting your account configured to accept transactions from Foxy requires a human on the Worldpay side. Budget time for this before you plan a go-live date.
If you see "System Error - Call Vantiv" on a live transaction, it usually means something about your account's configuration for third-party submissions is wrong on the Worldpay side, not a problem with the credentials themselves.
Troubleshooting
For declined transactions or response codes you don't recognize, contact your Worldpay eCommerce CEM or support line — they own the response code definitions and can see transaction detail Foxy cannot.
If you get a persistent "System Error - Call Vantiv" message, ask your Worldpay contact to re-confirm that your account is configured to accept transactions submitted by Foxy.
