Tazapay
Connect Foxy to Tazapay for secure payments.
- Features
- Multi-Currency
Tazapay connects Foxy to Tazapay, a cross-border payments and escrow provider focused on APAC and international B2B trade. It holds funds in escrow until a shipment or delivery is verified, which makes it a fit for merchants doing higher-value or trust-sensitive cross-border transactions rather than everyday storefront checkout. It supports multiple currencies.
Setting up Tazapay
You will need a Tazapay account, validated per Tazapay's own requirements, before you start.
The panel is split into a Live setup block and a Test setup block carrying the same two fields. Fill in the credentials above under Live setup.
We recommend completing a purchase on your store afterward to confirm everything is working correctly.
Testing
Foxy provides shared test credentials for Tazapay, so you can run test transactions without setting up your own sandbox account. Leave the Test setup fields as they are.
Those shared credentials only exercise the integration itself. If you need to test against your own account configuration, get a sandbox account from Tazapay and fill in the Test setup fields with its credentials.
Obtaining a test account
Tazapay's sandbox signup and dashboard are reached through their developer portal at developer.tazapay.com. Once you have a sandbox account, copy its API key and secret into the Test setup fields the same way as described above. Tazapay's own sandbox API secrets are prefixed sandbox_ — if a secret you're about to paste into Test setup doesn't start with that prefix, double check you haven't copied a live credential by mistake.
Test card numbers
Tazapay publishes test card numbers in their developer documentation at developer.tazapay.com. Look for the "Test Cards" reference under their API docs.
Advanced features
Escrow-based settlement. Unlike a typical card gateway, Tazapay does not settle a transaction as final at the moment of checkout. It holds funds until confirmation criteria (such as delivery or milestone verification, depending on how your Tazapay account is configured) are met.
Webhook-driven status updates. A transaction is initially recorded as
pending. Tazapay sends a webhook/datafeed notification to your configured endpoint as the status resolves, and the transaction's status updates toapprovedorrejectedbased on that notification. If you build any automation on transaction status, account for thependingstate rather than assuming a transaction is final immediately after checkout.
Important notes and caveats
Transactions do not resolve synchronously at checkout. Expect a
pendingstatus until Tazapay's webhook confirms the outcome — this is normal for this gateway, not a sign of a stuck transaction.Make sure your Foxy store has a datafeed/webhook endpoint configured if you want to react to status changes programmatically; otherwise you'll need to check transaction status in the Foxy admin or Tazapay dashboard directly.
Troubleshooting
For help interpreting response or status codes beyond pending / approved / rejected, contact Tazapay directly — they own the underlying transaction detail that Foxy does not have visibility into.
