Suncorp Bank connects Foxy to Suncorp Bank's card payment processing, using the Mastercard Payment Gateway Services (MPGS) platform. It is for merchants who process through Suncorp Bank in Australia, and it accepts credit and debit cards.

Setting up Suncorp Bank

You will need a merchant account with Suncorp Bank before you start. Suncorp Bank's team provides the Merchant ID and API Password you will enter into Foxy — contact them through Merchant & payment solutions at https://www.suncorpbank.com.au/business-banking/merchant-services.html, or the bank's general contact page, to set one up.

    In the Foxy administration at https://admin.foxy.io, go to Settings > Payments.

    Select the payment method set you want to use. If you only have one, it will be the Default Payment Method Set.

    Click Add payment method + and choose Suncorp Bank.

    Enter the Merchant ID and API Password that Suncorp Bank gave you.

    Optionally, configure Card verification — Foxy recommends "Enabled, automatically" so card details can be verified for a customer even outside an active payment.

    Set the 3-D Secure configuration to match your Suncorp Bank account's 3-D Secure setup.

    Click Create to save the payment method and enable it for your store.

The panel is split into a Live setup block and a Test setup block carrying the same field list. Fill in the credentials above under Live setup. (The Live heading reads "Live setup (inactive)" while the payment method set has Use live credentials switched off — that reflects the current state of the set, not a different set of fields.)

Testing

Foxy does not supply shared test credentials for Suncorp Bank. To test your integration, you will need a test/sandbox account and test Merchant ID and API Password from Suncorp Bank, entered into the Test setup fields.

Obtaining a test account

Contact Suncorp Bank directly to request test credentials for their MPGS platform. Neither the Foxy wiki nor this draft has a self-service signup link for a Suncorp Bank sandbox.

Test card numbers

Contact Suncorp Bank for test card numbers. Foxy does not publish or maintain a list of test cards for this gateway.

Advanced features

  • Authorize only. Suncorp Bank supports authorization-only transactions, so you can authorize at checkout and capture later.

  • Multiple currencies. The gateway supports multi-currency processing, subject to what your Suncorp Bank account is configured to accept.

  • 3-D Secure. Supported; configure it in the Foxy panel to match your Suncorp Bank account settings.

  • Card verification. Optional, for verifying card details outside an active payment transaction.

Important notes and caveats

  • Foxy does not supply shared test credentials for this gateway — you must obtain your own test account from Suncorp Bank to test the integration.

  • Keep your 3-D Secure and card verification settings in Foxy aligned with what is actually configured on your Suncorp Bank account, or transactions may behave differently than expected.

Troubleshooting

For declined transactions or unrecognized response codes, contact Suncorp Bank — they own the response code definitions for this platform and can see transaction detail that Foxy cannot.
