Reset Customer Password

If a customer has a previously created account but forgets their password, there are a couple of ways to reset the password.


Foxy Checkout

    On the Foxy checkout, enter the customer email.

  2. 2

    Click the “Forgot password?” link.

  3. 3

    An email is immediately sent to the customer with a temporary password valid for 30 minutes.

  4. 4

    Once the customer enters the temporary password on the checkout, they are prompted to create a new password for their account.

  5. 5

    If they enter a new password, the password is not saved until the checkout is successfully completed.


Foxy Customer Portal

If a customer portal is installed on your website, customers can reset the password via the portal.

    From the customer portal sign in screen, click the "Get temporary password" button.

  2. 2

    Enter the customer email.

  3. 3

    Click the "Get temporary password" button.

  4. 4

    An email is immediately sent to the customer with a temporary password valid for 30 minutes.

  5. 5

    Once the customer signs in the portal with the temporary password, they are prompted to create a new password for their account.
