Place an order for an existing customer

How to complete a checkout on behalf of an existing customer using Unified Order Entry.

Once Unified Order Entry is enabled, you can complete an order on behalf of an existing customer by authenticating as them at checkout.

Steps

  1. 1

    Add the desired product(s) to the cart.

  2. 2

    Go to checkout and enter the customer’s email address.

  3. 3

    When prompted, enter the Unified Order Entry password.

  4. 4

    Update any of the customer’s information as needed and submit the order.

Notes

  • You’ll be authenticated as the customer once the password is accepted, and checkout continues normally from there.

  • If you don’t have the Unified Order Entry password, see Enable Unified Order Entry.
