Modify a subscription's frequency

How to update how often an existing subscription bills — change the Frequency field and adjust the Next Date to match, then save from the subscription's edit screen.

You can update the billing frequency of an existing subscription directly in the Foxy admin.

Steps

    Go to Subscriptions in your Foxy admin

  2. 2

    Find the subscription you want to update and click Edit

  3. 3

    In the Frequency field, enter the new frequency value

  4. 4

    Click Update

  5. 5

    Double-check the subscription in the list to confirm it appears as expected

Valid frequency values

Nd

Every N days (e.g. 60d = every 60 days)

Nw

Every N weeks (e.g. 2w = every 2 weeks)

Nm

Every N months (e.g. 1m = monthly, 3m = every 3 months)

Ny

Every N years (e.g. 1y = every year)

.5m

Twice a month — bills on the start date and again 15 days later

Notes

  • Updating the frequency does not immediately charge the customer. The new frequency applies from the next scheduled transaction date.

  • If you are using PayPal Express (non-Reference Transactions), there may be limitations on modifying frequency. Foxy strongly recommends using the Reference Transaction option for PayPal Express Checkout.
