Modify a subscription's next charge date

How to update the date an existing subscription will next be charged in the Foxy admin.

You can update the next charge date of an existing subscription directly in the Foxy admin. This is useful if you need to delay a renewal, align a subscription to a specific billing date, or immediately trigger a charge sooner than scheduled.

Steps

    Go to Subscriptions in your Foxy admin

  2. 2

    Find the subscription you want to update and click Edit

  3. 3

    In the Next Date field, enter the date you want the subscription to next process

  4. 4

    Click Update

  5. 5

    Double-check the subscription in the list to confirm it appears as expected

Notes

  • The next date must be entered in YYYY-MM-DD format.

  • Changing the next date does not affect the subscription’s billing frequency — it only changes when the next charge occurs. Subsequent charges will follow the existing frequency from that new date.

  • If you are using PayPal Express (non-Reference Transactions), there may be limitations on modifying the next transaction date. Foxy strongly recommends using the Reference Transaction option for PayPal Express Checkout.
