Free Shipping and Customer Pickup Overview
Offer free ground shipping or customer pickup as shipping options.
Overview
Foxy includes two built in "custom options" that appear alongside any other shipping rates: Free Ground Shipping and Customer Pickup. Both are treated as special live rate options, and both are only shown to customers whose shipping country matches your store's country (as configured in your store settings).
How to enable
Navigate to your store's Shipping page in the Foxy admin. Toward the bottom, under "Custom Options," toggle the option to Active. Then select which options you want to enable: Customer Pickup, Free Ground Shipping, or both.
Customizing the labels
The display text for both options is configurable through your store's language settings, so you can rename them to fit your needs. For example, you could relabel "Customer Pickup" as "Will Call" or "In Store Pickup," or rename "Free Ground Shipping" to "Free Local Delivery" or anything else that makes sense for your store.
When to use these vs custom shipping code
These built in options are a quick way to add a zero cost shipping choice without writing any code. However, they only appear for customers in your store's country and always show a price of zero.
If you need conditional free shipping (for example, free shipping only when the cart total exceeds a threshold, or only when a specific coupon is applied), use Custom Shipping Code instead.
