Create a digital product

Steps

   Go to the Foxy admin

   Go to Downloadables

   Click Add a product

   Fill in the following fields:

   • Product name — displayed to the customer on the receipt

   • Product code — must be unique per product within its category

   • Price — this is the price charged at checkout; the price parameter in your add-to-cart link will be ignored

   • Category — must be a category with its delivery option set to “Downloaded by the customer”. See Set up a product category for digital products if you haven’t done this yet

   Select and upload the file

   Save the product

   Create an add-to-cart link or form for the product, including the category and code parameters

Notes

• Filenames should only use alphanumeric characters. Avoid special characters such as ? to prevent download issues.

• The name parameter does not need to be included in your add-to-cart link since the product name is set in the admin, though including it won’t cause an error.

• If the category and code parameters are missing or incorrect in your add-to-cart link, the product will either error or be added to the cart as a standard non-digital product.

• Maximum file size is 250MB.
