Restrict a coupon to specific products
How to limit a Foxy coupon to certain products using product code, item option, or item category restrictions.
Restrict a coupon so it only applies to specific products, product options, or categories. Set these on the coupon's edit screen under Coupons.
Product code restrictions
Wildcards use * at the start or end of a value. For example, abc123, fun_*, and *-small match abc123, fun_times, and example-small. Prefix a code with - to block it (for example, -*-small matches every product whose code does not end in -small). Allow and block entries can be combined. Maximum 5000 characters.
Item option restrictions
Restrict by an item option's name and value (for example, size = large). The coupon then only applies to items with that option and value. Wildcards are allowed in option values but not option names. You can also match these native item values: name, parent_code, url, image, and sub_frequency.
Item category restrictions
Restrict the coupon to products in specific categories. This is added after the coupon is first saved.
Notes
If a coupon applies only to a category or product code and no matching items are in the cart, no discount applies.
