Online Media Daily posted an interesting study last week about online shoppers and product reviews. 68% of shoppers (who make online purchases 4+ times per year and spend $500+ per year) read at least 4 product reviews before purchasing.

FoxyCart isn’t a CMS at all, so product reviews have more to do with how you choose to build your site, but Power Reviews definitely looks like an interesting (and powerful) option. Most CMS systems have some sort of built in commenting functionality though, which could easily serve double duty as a basic product review system. (MODx has Jot, WordPress and ExpressionEngine have built-in commenting, and etc.)
