I think we can all agree that 2020 was an “interesting” year that was difficult for many, to say the least. Even in the middle of challenging times, we want to remain grateful and take a moment to say thank you to our wonderful community. We hope you have remained healthy and that your businesses have continued to thrive.
Things have been quiet on the blog, but our team has been hard at work and we’re expecting 2021 to be our best year yet. Here’s what we’ve been up to:
New Team Members
We recently brought on three new team members to help with new features and our growing user community. Go team!
Drop-in Customer Portal
With our new drop-in customer portal, customers can login, view order history, manage their subscriptions, update billing/shipping/login info, and more, all inside of your website. Web Components are used to build out the customer portal. So that means that extending and adding your own functionality couldn’t be easier. Styling is easily handled with the powerful Lumo Theme Editor.
This feature is currently in private beta but don’t let that stop you from using it. We have 100+ stores using it in the wild, including multiple enterprise users. It’s solid and only continues to get better. You can apply for beta access here.
With our new drop-in customer portal installed on your website, you can show/hide pages/elements/content based on any combination of the following:
- Customer is logged in
- Customer is logged out
- Customer has an active subscription
- Customer has an active subscription for a specific plan/membership
- Customer has purchased a specific product
Drop-in Donation Widget
We’ve got a brand new drop-in donation widget that allows you to add a donation form to any website in seconds… seriously! Easily configure available amounts (even allow an “other” option), designation options, frequency options, and more. Just like our drop-in customer portal, the widget can easily be styled with the Lumo Theme Editor. This feature is still in private beta. Please contact us for access.
You can now get live rates from any connected services in your Shippo account. This includes Canada Post, Australia Post, DHL, and dozens more. Learn more here.
Google Maps Integration
Ever wanted to charge specific rates based on the customer’s location in relation to your shipping origin? Now you can with our Google Maps integration. More info here.
With our new PayPal Commerce integration (replaces our older PayPal Standard integration), you can provide customers a more streamlined checkout experience as well as support payment methods like Venmo, Bancontact, BLIK, eps, giropay, iDEAL, MyBank, Przelewy24 (P24) and SOFORT. More info here.
We recently wrote a new KB article that covers ways you can setup marketplace functionality with Foxy. Check it out here.
As always, we’re here to help if need anything at all. Please don’t hesitate to contact us. Here’s to 2021!
